Job Description
Job Description Service Mechanic- Decatur, IL This is a full-time, hourly, 2nd or 3rd shift position. Potential assignments may include, but are not limited to: Perform preventive maintenance on tractors and trailers Certification of performing A/C freon recovery and recharging, perform repairs on A/C Perform brake repairs Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems Mount and dismount tires Perform diagnostics with laptop computer Component replacement starters, alternators, and batteries Cosmetic repairs, decals, reflective tape, fenders, and bumpers Pressure test hydraulic systems and hose replacement Perform Annual DOT inspections on tractors and trailers Rebuild components To be considered for an opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria: Follow and promote safe work environment. Maintain a good attendance record. (No more than 3 days unexcused absent in calendar year). Maintain good communications with all Trucking personnel. Ability to work well with others. Maintains good housekeeping. Ability to understand and perform assigned job tasks easily within employee's classification. Perform job task within job standard time of classification. Ability to perform job tasks by understanding and following work procedures. Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems that apply to employee's classification. Ability to pass all test required of classification. ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
