Ford Heights Trailer Mechanic
Job Description

IS NOT A DIESEL MECHANIC POSITION
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Perform maintenance on trailers.
- Replace tires and brake drums
- Repair electrical.
- Replace/fabricate sheet metal
- Woodworking and welding
- Must be able to work on the roof, inside and underneath
- Provide mobile maintenance in our service truck
- Must be able to work in outside conditions
Working Conditions :
Shop, yard, vehicle environment, may require lifting 50-75 lbs at least once per day. This job requires a combination of standing, sitting, climbing, bending and walking as well as excellent visual and auditory skills to be able to inspect trailers and clearly communicate with the other mechanics. The environment is typically noisy. The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and snow/ice conditions.Additional Requirements:
- Basic computer skills
- Read, write and communicate fluently in English.
- Operate basic tools Prior Experience is preferred
