Overview This role is a hands‑on maintenance position focused on keeping trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment running safely and reliably through routine service, minor repairs, and accurate record‑keeping. Responsibilities Routine maintenance —Including, but not limited to Oil/lube changes, inspections, and scheduled service based on company fleet guidelines. DOT pre/post‑trip inspections — Basic understanding of required safety checks. Brake system work — Brake jobs and component replacement. Minor mechanical repairs — Starters, air compressors, wheel seals, etc. Tire and wheel service — Mounting/dismounting, balancing (training provided). Record keeping — Ensuring maintenance logs and work orders are accurate. Shop cleanliness — Keeping equipment and work areas neat and organized. Requirements Previous mechanical experience with trucks , trailers , or heavy equipment . Class A CDL preferred but not required. Ability to work variable hours across 1st and 2nd shift.
