Overview Join our dynamic team as a Mobile Mechanic, where your expertise in heavy equipment and vehicle repair will keep our fleet and machinery operating at peak performance. This role offers the exciting opportunity to work on a variety of mobile equipment, including trucks, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and construction vehicles. As a key player in maintaining safety, reliability, and efficiency across diverse job sites, you'll be empowered to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems and deliver top-notch service on the go. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills will directly contribute to our operational success and customer satisfaction. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and trucks in the field or at customer sites Conduct preventative maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, suspension work, and hydraulic system servicing Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems, transmissions, HVAC units, and other mechanical components Fabricate parts or modify equipment using welding, cutting tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair needs Operate heavy machinery such as loaders or cranes for lifting components during repairs or assembly tasks Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed and parts used for each job site or customer account Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities, including proper use of power tools and heavy lifting procedures Skills Proven experience working as a mechanic with a focus on heavy equipment repair; dealership experience is highly valued Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle systems, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical systems Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication tools for repairs and modifications Ability to read and interpret schematics for electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical systems Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including excavators, forklifts, cranes, and farm machinery Experience with diesel mechanics, heavy truck repair (including air brakes), tire service, shocks & struts, and alignment procedures Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members Capable of performing heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex repairs Join us as a Mobile Mechanic if you're passionate about keeping machinery running smoothly across diverse environments.
