Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will support our mechanics in performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles and machinery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong willingness to learn, have a basic understanding of mechanical systems, and be comfortable using tools such as an ohmmeter. Responsibilities Assist mechanics in diagnosing mechanical issues and performing repairs on vehicles and equipment. Use tools and equipment safely and effectively. Help maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks. Document repair work and maintenance performed on each vehicle or piece of equipment. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the shop environment. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a mechanical setting is a plus but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate. Familiarity with basic hand tools and diagnostic equipment. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks. Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently when required. Must be able to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with vehicle maintenance.
