Areas of expertise include hydraulic workover (HWO), snubbing, well control, blowout prevention, P&A, offshore drilling, intervention solutions, and equipment. The company's experienced teams are trained to the highest level of certification and backed by our enhanced and proven equipment. ISS is seeking a Shop Technician with strong mechanical skills to join our team. Career path advancement is accessible through specialized training and mentors committed to helping you learn about snubbing and HWO equipment maintenance and operation. This position is subject to a training period at the ISS facility based in Arnaudville, LA.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The position provides labor and semi-skilled support to service supervisors, specialists, and mechanics. General maintenance of field and shop equipment and tools. Support mechanics with various tasks. Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas. Troubleshooting equipment issues. Load/unload trucks on location, picking up or delivering supplies. General assembly work that may require operating various power/hand tools. Inspect all assembly parts and report defective material or questionable component conditions to management. Ability to buff, paint, and/or grind various raw building materials. Observe and follow all company safety rules and policies. Ability to interact with co-workers and follow written and verbal directions. Basic ability to understand, speak, read, and write English. Basic computer skills. High School or GED equivalent preferred Strong mechanical skills 2 years of experience in oilfield services required Must be at least 18 years of ageWORKING CONDITIONS
