Tracked Equipment Mechanic South Baton Rouge, LA | Full-Time | No Travel Required | No Weekends Our client is seeking passionate, hard-working, and innovative individuals ready to build a career. This is a unique opportunity to work in a niche market•an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) production facility in the Baton Rouge area known for quality craftsmanship, stable schedules, and consistent local work. This is a unique opportunity for someone with a background in diesel repairs, heavy equipment or automotive repair, or machine assembly to use their skills to repair customer machinery and maintain rental fleet. We are actively looking for candidates who bring any of the following: Professional experience in understanding how mechanical systems work Formal education or training in heavy equipment•trade school (including RPCC, BRCC, or similar), apprenticeship, or mechanical certification programs Hands-on foundation built outside the classroom•grew up fixing equipment on the farm, or learning the craft of tracked vehicles from the ground up If you have the foundation and the right attitude, we want to talk to you. What You'll Do Diagnosing and troubleshooting common mechanical problems surrounding the Marsh Master Perform routine preventative maintenance such as lubricating undercarriage components and servicing all fluids while inspecting leaks Perform routine trailer brake inspections/adjustments on hydraulic and electric brakes Repair and replace components on the Marsh Master as needed Record and report the parts used in the repairs to the service shop manager Work well with power tools such as, battery impacts, air impacts, drills, overhead crane, etc. Meet or exceed company safety standards Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management What We're Looking For Maintains a basic knowledge of a vehicle's mechanical and electrical systems Confident with power tools & has some experience fixing automotive or agricultural equipment Be able to read, write, and speak English High School diploma Must be reliable, teachable, and work with excellence Must pass hair follicle drug test Local candidates preferred; must be willing to commute to south Baton Rouge, LA The Schedule and Environment Stable, consistent schedule•Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. No shift work, no rotating schedules. Project-based overtime is available and goal-oriented. Your weekends are yours. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around equipment.
