Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Shop Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive, diesel truck, and trailer with the ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment. The Shop Technician will play a critical role in ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely, supporting our commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics and repairs on semi trucks, and trailers. Conduct maintenance tasks such as truck and trailer PM's, air brake inspections, suspension, and HVAC system inspections. Utilize hand tools, power tools, air tools, welding equipment, and other specialized equipment to complete repairs. Interpret schematics, OEM manuals, and technical diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues. Repair and replace components such as brakes, air bags, tires, and engine components. Operate heavy equipment safely during repair or testing procedures. Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with safety standards. Assist with assembly or disassembly of machinery as needed for repairs or upgrades. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status and recommendations clearly. Experience Proven dealership experience or extensive background in automotive repair or heavy equipment maintenance. Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical repairs. Familiarity with Cummins engines, tractor-trailers, HVAC systems, diesel engines, air brakes, suspension systems, tire service, and power tools. Knowledge of schematics and ability to interpret technical manuals for troubleshooting complex issues. Experience working with OEM parts and performing vehicle maintenance or equipment repairs. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills. Prior experience in service technician roles involving heavy lifting or tire services is preferred. This position requires a motivated individual with a comprehensive understanding of vehicle maintenance and industrial equipment repair. Candidates should be capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards at all times.
Pay:
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
