Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Mechanical / Hydraulic Technician to join our team in Houma, Louisiana. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing specialist Mechanical Solutions equipment to the highest standards. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong mechanical and hydraulic awareness, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality. What you'll be doing: Prepare, inspect, and test equipment for hire, ensuring all items are fully functional, complete, accurately documented, photographed, and professionally presented. Diagnose faults and carry out repairs, rebuilds, and preventative or corrective maintenance on a wide range of equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic tools. Safely store, package, and secure equipment in accordance with company procedures and transport requirements. Operate vehicles and equipment as required for diagnostics, delivery, and collection purposes. Off-hire, inspect, and test equipment returned from hire, documenting and reporting any missing or damaged items. Accurately complete work orders within the ERP system and create parts lists to coordinate repair-related parts orders. Deliver parts and equipment to customers when required and provide on-call technical support on a rotational basis. Travel offshore or dockside to support client operations as needed. What you'll bring: Relevant qualification in Mechanical / Hydraulic or other similar technical discipline and/or equivalent industry experience. Experience working with diesel mechanics. Experience in a Mechanical role undertaking repair, maintenance and testing of mechanical equipment, preferably in a subsea environment. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance/service. Strong problem-solving capabilities and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Offshore experience is preferred.
