Job Description
GLO Resources is currently hiring an experienced Small Equipment Mechanic to work in New Roads, LA. The pay rate is between $20
- 30 an hour depending on experience. The schedule is Monday
- Friday, 8:00am
- 5:00pm with occasional overtime depending on project deadlines.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Small Engine Mechanic to join our team. This is a shop-based position focused on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining customer-owned outdoor power equipment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working on small engines, takes pride in producing quality repairs, and can work independently while maintaining an organized workspace.Key Responsibilities:
Diagnoses, troubleshoot, repair, and service small engines and outdoor power equipment brought into the shop. Perform routine maintenance, tune-ups, and preventative service.Repair and maintain equipment including:
Lawn mowers String trimmers Chainsaws Leaf blowers Portable generators Other gas-powered outdoor power equipment Identify mechanical issues and recommend appropriate repairs. Test equipment after repairs to ensure safe and proper operation. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship. May be assigned other duties, as necessary.Qualifications:
Proven experience repairing and servicing small engines required. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot engine and equipment issues. Experience working on lawn and outdoor power equipment. Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision. Ability to stay organized and manage multiple repair jobs. Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Must be able to pass a drug screening and background checkPhysical Requirements:
This position involves regular physical activity, including: Standing for prolonged periods. Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching. Pushing and pulling heavy objects. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.Benefits:
