Mobility Equipment Technician —
Entry Level Location:
Pearl River, LouisianaService Area:
New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and surrounding areas We are looking for a motivated, dependable person to join our team servicing and installing mobility equipment that helps people maintain their independence and quality of life. As a Mobility Equipment Technician, you'll work with equipment such as: Mobility elevators and vertical platform lifts Stairlifts Vehicle-mounted mobility scooter and wheelchair lifts Electrical and mechanical components Troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, and installations No Experience? That's Okay! This is a beginner-friendly position. You do not need to be an electronics expert or have years of experience working with mobility equipment. We are willing to teach the right person how the equipment works, how to troubleshoot electrical systems, and how to safely perform repairs and installations. If you've ever wanted to learn electronics, electrical troubleshooting, mechanics, or hands-on technical work, this is a great opportunity to build those skills while doing work that actually makes a difference in people's lives. Grow Into Your Own Route As you gain experience and demonstrate that you're ready, you'll have the opportunity to progress toward driving your own company work truck and handling service calls independently. You'll gradually learn how to diagnose problems, communicate with customers, complete repairs, and manage your own daily route. The Job Our home base is in Pearl River, Louisiana, but we travel throughout the New Orleans and Baton Rouge areas in company vehicles. Travel is part of the job, and you'll spend your days visiting customers, installing equipment, performing service calls, and solving problems in the field. This is a particularly rewarding career because the equipment we work on isn't just another piece of machinery—it helps people get around their homes, access their vehicles, and maintain their independence. Pay:
$18.00 - $26.00 per hour
