Job Description

Heavy Equipment & Pump Technician Position Summary:
As a Heavy Equipment & Pump Technician at Ironclad Environmental Solutions , you'll play a critical role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of equipment—including pumps, yard inventory, rotating equipment, and semi-trucks (tractor-trailers). You'll work both in the field at customer sites and in the yard to ensure our fleet and equipment remain in top condition.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Service & Repairs Travel to customer locations to service and repair equipment on-site Troubleshoot and repair pumps, hoses, valves, and mechanical systems Set up and disassemble equipment as needed Complete lock/door repairs and general field service tasks Load/unload equipment and perform basic site housekeeping Pressure wash, label, and inspect units before/after use Yard & Shop Support Clean, inspect, and repair returned rental equipment Assist with routine maintenance on semi-trucks and diesel-powered equipment Perform light welding, electrical repairs, and minor mechanical work Clean tanks, patch berms, and assist in yard operations Rotating Equipment Maintenance Tear down, evaluate, and rebuild pumps, motors, and gearboxes Replace worn or damaged components and ensure functionality Safety & Documentation Accurately record work performed and parts used Maintain daily logs and inspection records Follow all safety protocols—this is a safety-sensitive position Assist team members and other departments as needed
Equipment Used:
Hand tools & power tools Forklift (must obtain certification within 90 days) Welding/soldering equipment Field service truck Two-way radio / phone for communication
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (required) 1+ year of mechanical, field service, or inventory experience (required) Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills Welding experience (preferred) Valid driver's license with clean MVR Able to obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) Forklift certification (within 90 days of hire) Pump or rental industry experience is a plus Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision Why Join Ironclad Environmental Solutions?
