About the Role We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our growing service team. You will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and peak performance of our diverse fleet, utilizing advanced diagnostic technology to minimize downtime and keep our operations running smoothly. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair complex hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems on a wide range of heavy machinery. Utilize digital diagnostic tools and tablets to manage work orders, track service intervals, and document repairs with precision. Perform preventative maintenance to extend the lifespan of equipment and ensure operational safety. Collaborate with team members to resolve technical challenges and provide mentorship to junior staff. Maintain accurate electronic records of all maintenance activities to ensure fleet compliance. Coordinate with logistics to assist in the efficient transport of equipment and necessary parts. Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards to maintain a secure work environment. Required Skills Advanced mechanical aptitude with a strong understanding of heavy equipment systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex technical schematics and diagrams. Must possess a personal set of tools appropriate for heavy equipment repair. Excellent communication skills with a focus on teamwork and customer service. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in various positions. Preferred Skills Completion of a trade school program or equivalent technical certification. Prior experience in field service, fleet maintenance, or heavy equipment repair. Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices.
