Job Description

Shop Mechanic - Landscaping & Snow Equipment Rubin Landscape LLC Job Overview Rubin Landscape LLC is looking for an experienced Shop Mechanic to maintain and repair our growing fleet of landscaping, construction, and snow-removal equipment. We are looking for someone who is mechanically skilled, dependable, and able to diagnose problems and get equipment back into service quickly. This position will be responsible for preventative maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and general upkeep of company trucks and equipment. During snowstorms, this employee will also be expected to work with our snow operations and be available to make emergency repairs as needed to keep equipment running. Our equipment includes Ford work trucks and dump trucks, trailers, zero-turn mowers, small engines, excavators and compact equipment, snowplows, salt spreaders, and other landscaping/construction equipment. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues Perform oil changes, brakes, fluids, filters, batteries, belts, and preventative maintenance Maintain zero-turn mowers and other small-engine landscaping equipment Repair and maintain trailers and trailer electrical systems Troubleshoot snowplows, salt spreaders, controllers, wiring, hydraulics, and related snow equipment Perform basic repairs and maintenance on trucks and diesel/gas equipment Maintain excavators and other compact construction equipment Prepare and inspect equipment before snowstorms Respond to equipment breakdowns during snow events Assist with snow-removal operations when needed Keep the shop, tools, parts, and maintenance records organized Identify potential equipment problems before they cause downtime Qualifications We are looking for someone with previous professional mechanic experience , preferably working with landscaping, construction, agricultural, or snow-removal equipment. Applicants should be comfortable troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical problems and working independently. Experience with Ford Super Duty trucks, Fisher snowplows/spreaders, zero-turn mowers, small engines, trailers, hydraulics, diesel equipment, and excavators is strongly preferred. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. The applicant must also be willing to work nights, early mornings, weekends, and extended hours during snowstorms when necessary. This is a hands-on position for someone who understands that keeping equipment operational is critical to keeping our crews working.
Pay:
$25.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 50.0 per week
