Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Shop Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and vehicle systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly, supporting various sectors including construction, agriculture, and transportation. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on heavy equipment, fleet trucks, and automotive systems using schematics and specialized tools Conduct repairs and maintenance on excavators, cranes, forklifts, trucks, trailers, and other industrial equipment Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, air brakes, electrical systems, and HVAC components Conduct safety inspections including wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacements, tire services, and brake repairs Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs performed Assist with equipment assembly, calibration, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime Requirements Proven experience working as a mechanic in a dealership or heavy equipment environment Strong knowledge of mechanical systems repair including hydraulics, electrical systems, transmissions, and diesel engines Hands-on experience with heavy truck repair, automotive diagnostics, and vehicle maintenance Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and quality workmanship Valid certifications or licenses related to heavy machinery operation or automotive repair are preferred but not mandatory Join us if you're passionate about maintaining top-tier machinery and delivering exceptional service!
