R&R Coating Inc. Part-Time Shop Mechanic Position Summary R&R Coating Inc. is seeking a dependable and experienced Part-Time Shop Mechanic to maintain and repair company vehicles, trailers, equipment, and shop tools. This position is responsible for helping keep our fleet and equipment operating safely and efficiently while minimizing downtime. Job Type Part-Time Flexible Schedule Hourly Position Primary Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance on company vehicles and equipment. Conduct oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and preventative maintenance. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on trucks, trailers, forklifts, generators, compressors, and other shop equipment. Inspect vehicles and equipment for safety and operational concerns. Coordinate and track maintenance schedules for fleet vehicles. Maintain records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance performed. Assist with equipment setup, repairs, and modifications. Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe. Communicate equipment needs and repair recommendations to management. Assist with emergency repairs as needed. Qualifications Previous experience as a mechanic, diesel mechanic, fleet mechanic, or equipment technician preferred. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures. Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs independently. Familiarity with trailers, small engines, and construction equipment preferred. Ability to lift 50 pounds or more. Valid driver's license required. Ability to work safely and follow company policies. Preferred Experience Fleet maintenance Trailer repairs Hydraulic systems Electrical troubleshooting Small engine repair Forklift maintenance Welding and fabrication experience is a plus Performance Expectations Maintain fleet reliability and reduce downtime. Complete scheduled maintenance on time. Maintain accurate maintenance records. Promote a safe and organized shop environment. Identify issues before they become costly repairs. $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
