BULK GOODS LOADER AND EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Job Summary Responsible for safely and efficiently loading customer orders of bulk materials such as mulch, soil, stone, and compost. This role ensures accurate product selection, maintains a clean and organized bulk yard, and operates equipment—such as loaders and skid steers—in a careful, customer‑focused manner. Loaders assists customers with questions, provides friendly service, monitors inventory levels, and follows all safety procedures to keep the yard running smoothly and efficiently throughout the season. This is a Full Time (32 to 50hrs a week) seasonal position with the opportunity for Overtime. Responsibilities Gather plant material or other products from around the nursery, load onto clients trucks and trailers, secure properly, and cover. Assistance is available as needed from Wholesale and Retail departments. Follow all procedures using heavy equipment such as loaders, tractors and other loading equipment. (certification is a plus) Load bulk goods (mulch, soils, gravel etc.) safely and accurately into client's trucks and trailers. Keep equipment clean and in good working order. Inspect it daily for problems. Report any problems to management. Follow all safety regulations and policies. Retrieve plant material from our fields when needed for delivery or inventory. Operate heavy equipment (bobcat, loader, tractors etc.) Work with nursery crew to unload plants and other products delivered to the nursery. Assist customers at the nursery with wrapping and loading their plant materials or bulk products. Assist customers at the nursery with their needs and questions, or direct them to an inside or outside sales person who can further help them. Other duties as assigned. Experience A valid license and clean driving record. Experience using, driving and loading with Heavy Equipment Ability to drive and work outdoors, in all types of weather conditions and temperatures. Ability to climb in and out of a trucks/equipment bend and lift up to 50lbs, continuously throughout the day. Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Experience operating nursery, agricultural or farm equipment including tractors and loaders is a must. • All O'Donal's associates are not limited to the specific Job duties of above mentioned Job description, associates are also expected to Perform other appropriate duties as assigned by management in a team environment setting•

Pay:

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
