Field Service Technician Burnips Equipment is a family-owned farm equipment dealer that sells and services multiple lines of agricultural equipment, including New Holland, Claas, Meyer, Kuhn, and other leading brands. We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic / Field Service Technician to join our Service Repair Team. As a Diesel Mechanic / Field Service Technician , your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Diagnose and repair agricultural equipment both independently and as part of a team. Assess equipment repairs and provide accurate estimates for parts and labor. Perform equipment inspections and recommend necessary repairs to help minimize customer downtime. Work closely with the Parts Team to identify and quote the correct parts for repairs. Complete equipment repairs according to service manuals and OEM specifications. Document completed repairs with detailed service reports. Communicate with customers regarding equipment issues, repairs, and recommendations. Perform on-site repairs and service calls at customer locations. The Field Service Technician / Diesel Mechanic will operate from a fully equipped service truck and travel to customer locations to diagnose and repair agricultural equipment. Candidates must be willing to complete online training and attend classroom training as needed.

Requirements:

Experience as a diesel mechanic, agricultural equipment technician, heavy equipment technician, or similar role preferred. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license and ability to operate a service truck. Candidates are responsible for providing their own standard hand tools; Burnips Equipment provides required special tools.
