What to ExpectTesla is seeking highly motivated Equipment Maintenance Technicians who will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational availability of our advanced 5 Axis CNC machines, 1000-2500 Ton Hydraulic and Mechanical Presses, and 5 Axis Lasers. The Equipment Maintenance Technician will apply his/her technical skills to install, maintain and repair high-speed, high-volume mechanical and electrical systems, factory automation, and robotics. They will be the first-responding problem solvers who manage machine breakdowns and recoveries.
Shift:
03:15 PM - 01:45 AM; Monday through Friday What You'll Do Perform equipment repairs, rebuilds and installations as well as preventative maintenance (PM) on all industrial production equipment, including 5-axis CNC machines, 1000-2500 ton hydraulic and mechanical presses, and 5-axis lasersDiagnose equipment failures and their root cause. Communicate required corrective actions across relevant teamsCollaborate with Process and Equipment Engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and maintenance protocolsPerform corrective maintenance (repairs) on more than one of these types of equipment: Electrical systems ranging from 24 VDC to 480 VAC 3 phase, mechanical systems, conveyor systems, hydraulics, pneumatics/vacuum Systems, PLC and networks (Allen Bradley/Siemens/Beckhoff), vision/inspection equipment (Keyence/x-ray /surface inspectors), fanuc robotsOrder parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogues and suppliers, or obtain them from storeroomsLog all work as performed utilizing Tesla CMMSWhat You'll Bring Five (5) or more years of experience working in a maintenance capacity on industrial production manufacturing equipment with 5-axis CNC machines, 1000-2500 ton hydraulic and mechanical presses, and/or 5-axis lasersDemonstrated ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and implement viable long-term solutionsAbility to read and interpret detailed mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematicsThis is a physically demanding job working in tight spaces, requiring walking and standing all day, as well as bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing ladders and lying on the ground intermittently throughout the day.
