In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy construction machinery and industrial equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our ongoing projects and operations. As a GRG Mechanic, you will be working closely with our Service Manager to provide exceptional service and maintain high standards of maintenance and repairs. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy construction equipment. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, hydraulic system checks, transmission servicing, brake repairs, tire service, and air brake systems. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues using schematics, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals, and diagnostic tools related to transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and HVAC systems. Maintain detailed service records including inspection reports, repair logs, parts used, and diagnostic findings for accountability and future reference. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to disassemble, repair, assemble, and calibrate machinery for optimal operation. Requirements Proven experience working as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Service Technician in a dealership or construction environment. Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy construction machinery maintenance including diesel engine diagnostics and repair. Proficiency with electrical diagnostics, schematics reading, and troubleshooting electrical systems on heavy equipment. Hands-on experience with OEM parts replacement, equipment assembly/disassembly, welding, tire service, brake repair, and hydraulic system repairs. Familiarity with construction machinery servicing standards such as air brake systems, alignment procedures, suspension adjustments, and diesel engine repair. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic software for automotive or industrial applications.
