In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery and construction equipment. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of equipment used across various industrial and construction sites. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art tools and technology while out in the field on new job sites each day. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, bulldozers, and other construction machinery using schematics, electrical systems, and mechanical knowledge. Conduct repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes, suspensions, air brakes, and HVAC systems to ensure equipment operates efficiently. Fabricate parts and components as needed using welding, soldering, and power tools to meet OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. Troubleshoot electrical issues with heavy duty electronic scan tools and resolve problems related to electrical systems and schematics. Service and repair farm machinery, industrial equipment, tractor-trailers, forklifts, and other heavy-duty vehicles with a focus on safety and quality standards. Perform heavy lifting tasks safely during equipment assembly, tire service, alignment procedures, and general maintenance activities. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document repairs to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Ability to work with and source parts from OEM vendors. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive background in heavy equipment mechanics with a focus on construction machinery maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in fabrication, welding, electrical diagnostics, and diesel repair. Proficiency in using schematics for troubleshooting electrical systems and understanding complex mechanical assemblies. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance apparatus. Ability to diagnose diesel engine issues including fuel systems, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC units, and air brake systems. Experience working with OEM parts and performing equipment troubleshooting across various brands such as Caterpillar or similar manufacturers. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with team members and clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs. Capable of heavy lifting safely while performing repairs or moving heavy machinery components efficiently.
