Join a Growing Family-Owned Manufacturing Company We are a family-owned wood mulch manufacturing facility seeking an experienced Diesel Fleet & Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of semi-trucks, trailers, loaders, grinders, and production equipment. This is a stable, year-round position for a mechanic who enjoys a variety of work and takes pride in keeping equipment operating safely and efficiently. Unlike dealership or fleet-only positions, you'll have the opportunity to work on both on-road and off-road equipment while playing a critical role in our daily manufacturing operations. Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel-powered semi-trucks and trailers Perform preventative maintenance on fleet and heavy equipment Service and repair front-end loaders, grinders, conveyor systems, and other production equipment Repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems Perform inspections and identify potential equipment failures before breakdowns occur Conduct welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications as needed Respond to equipment downtime and emergency repairs when necessary Ensure compliance with company safety standards and OSHA regulations Equipment You'll Work On Class 8 semi-trucks Dump trailers and walking-floor trailers Front-end loaders Tub grinders Conveyor systems Industrial manufacturing equipment Hydraulic systems Diesel engines and drivetrains Qualifications 3+ years of diesel mechanic, heavy equipment mechanic, fleet mechanic, or industrial maintenance experience preferred Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and troubleshooting Experience with heavy equipment repair and preventative maintenance Welding and fabrication experience preferred Ability to work independently with minimal supervision CDL is a plus but not required Own tools necessary What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Overtime opportunities Stable year-round employment Family-oriented work environment Modern equipment and facilities Paid holidays and vacation Health insurance and retirement benefits (if applicable) Opportunities for advancement Why Join Us?
