Aerial Equipment Service Technician

  • 40 per hour depending on experience This is a full-time, year-round position with consistent hours.
Hourly pay — no flat-rate dealership pressure. Want a Lift Rental is a growing equipment rental company specializing in scissor lifts, boom lifts, and telehandlers . We pride ourselves on providing reliable equipment and excellent service to our commercial customers. We are looking for a skilled Aerial Equipment Service Technician to join our team and help maintain and repair our rental fleet. This position is primarily shop-based , with occasional field service when needed. A service truck and specialty tools are provided for field work. Basic hand tools and a toolbox can be provided if needed, along with all necessary shop tools and diagnostic equipment. Experience with JLG, Genie, Skyjack, Snorkel, or similar aerial equipment is a plus. Equipment You Will Work On Scissor lifts Boom lifts Telehandlers Forklifts Light construction and rental equipment What You'll Do Inspect, diagnose, and repair aerial lifts, telehandlers, and forklifts Perform preventative maintenance and routine service Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and engine systems Test components using diagnostic tools and service equipment Inspect and document equipment condition Complete service reports after repairs Occasionally travel to customer job sites for field repairs Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop What We're Looking For 2+ years mechanic experience (equipment, diesel, automotive, or related field) Strong understanding of diesel/gas engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics Skilled in troubleshooting equipment issues Ability to work independently and stay organized Valid driver's license with clean driving record Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Commitment to safe work practices What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Health insurance Paid time off 401(k) with company matching Paid training opportunities Basic hand tools and toolbox provided if needed Stable, year-round work Opportunity to grow with a growing rental company Work Environment Small, team-focused shop Well-maintained equipment fleet Variety of equipment to work on Opportunity to build specialized skills in the equipment rental industry Schedule Monday
