Shop Mechanic II Location:
Lakeville, MN Salary:
$27 - $35.50 per hour Solutions Driven is supporting a leading infrastructure and construction organisation in their search for a Shop Mechanic II to join their team in Lakeville, Minnesota. This role involves inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of fleet trucks and heavy construction equipment in a busy shop environment supporting major infrastructure projects. What You'll Do Inspect, diagnose, and repair fleet trucks and construction equipment Perform preventative maintenance and DOT inspections Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems Work on equipment including pickup trucks (Ford), heavy trucks, trailers, and construction equipment Ensure equipment is safe, compliant, and ready for use Common equipment brands include Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu, and Vermeer. What We're Looking For 2-5+ years of mechanic experience working on fleet trucks, heavy trucks, trailers, or construction equipment Experience with hydraulics and electrical systems DOT inspection experience Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to provide basic personal tools Nice to have: CDL Class A license Experience with aerial equipment or bucket trucks Diesel mechanic training or ASE certifications Additional Details Shop-based role - no travel required Shop hours typically 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM with some schedule flexibility Overtime opportunities available Comprehensive benefits package including health, retirement, and paid time off

Do you have experience performing DOT inspections or working with hydraulic systems on trucks or construction equipment?
