Description:

SKB Environmental, a Waste Connections company, is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our GROWING team in Rosemount, MN.

Pay:

$41-$50 per hour Depending on Experience! Applicants for this role must possess a strong, dedicated, safety conscience work ethic along with a positive can-do attitude. Hours are typically 6:30 AM - 3 PM , Monday thru Friday; Some opportunity for overtime

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

: Perform repairs and assigned preventative maintenance services. Performs inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulics, suspension brake and air systems on heavy equipment. Utilize vehicle computer electro systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs. Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing heavy equipment, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times. Conducts safety checks on equipment. Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT

Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 60 pounds. Work environment will require the ability to work in the field for all outdoor weather conditions. Sometimes necessary to work in awkward or tight positions and to handle greasy or dirty tools The Ideal Candidate will possess: Minimum of 1+ years' experience, that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above (preferred); Entry Level Graduate considered.

Welding / Fabrication
