Job Description

Union Position
  • Shifts are determined by Seniority Performs the following functions related to the manufacture of welded chain assemblies and/or other production activities as assigned: Chain cutting
  • manual or with automatic equipment. Ability to accurately read a tape measure. Assembly
  • chain accessories, connecting links, body chain, etc. Welding
  • link preparation, welding and trim on specified equipment. Heat Treatment
  • austenitizing and tempering, as prescribed. Proof Load Testing
  • calibration or proof test as prescribed. Packaging or other related activities
  • as prescribed.
Handling and movement of materials to, within, and out of the work cell. The duties are to operate a welder from written or verbal instructions. Repair chain and fabricate assemblies.
All employees are required to:
Rely on a lead to set up and adjust equipment Abide by safety policies, operator preventative maintenance and housekeeping practices. Ensure the quality specifications of the product. Accurately complete process and quality documentation. Communicate respectfully with others. Work with limited supervision. Operate Material Handling Equipment (Forklift, Pallet Jack, etc.) Ability to move up to higher paying labor positions.
