Field Mechanic Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc - 3.2 Columbia, MO Job Details Full-time 3 hours ago Qualifications Engineering equipment malfunctions diagnostics High school diploma or GED Technical troubleshooting support Full Job Description We are seeking an experienced Traveling Field Mechanic to join our Asphalt Equipment team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing equipment issues, as well as performing preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance. As a key member of our Equipment division, the Mechanic will work closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective use of company resources. •Must be within 1 hour of Hannibal MO and must be willing to travel throughout Missouri •Responsibilities Perform maintenance and repair work on company equipment, including heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, and develop solutions to resolve them Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime Ensure that all equipment-related activities are carried out in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements Manage relationships with vendors and equipment manufacturers, negotiating contracts and resolving any issues in a timely manner Develop and maintain equipment-related reports and metrics, and communicate equipment-related information to stakeholders Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements in equipment maintenance and repair Other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 3+ years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in a construction setting Strong technical skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issues Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences Strong organizational and time-management skills Experience using equipment maintenance or repair software preferred A commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
