Job Description

For more than 90 years, PALFINGER has pioneered crane and lifting solutions across the globe. As a technology-forward mechanical engineering company, we turn real customer problems into integrated products—and we help our people grow, collaborate, and stretch beyond the expected. Step into our new Birmingham, AL operation and spend a day in the shop: the doors roll up, a truck-mounted forklift comes in for diagnostics, and a bucket truck awaits preventive maintenance. Midday brings an annual DOT inspection, and by afternoon you're documenting parts and labor so a customer gets a precise estimate. If an urgent issue pops up after hours, you're ready to troubleshoot. You'll report directly to our Regional Service Manager and collaborate closely with the shop manager to communicate findings and plan repairs. Where you'll work Primary location: Birmingham, AL. Clear communication of mechanical issues and repair needs to the shop manager. Accurate, timely service documentation: estimates, authorizations, parts ordering/recording, labor, and inventory entries. Compliance with state and federal safety regulations while maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area. What you bring High school diploma or GED. 3+ years of mechanical experience or training, with emphasis on articulating cranes and forklifts.
