Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Industrial Mechanic to join our team. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heavy industrial equipment, construction machinery, and automotive systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with various tools and diagnostics, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with heavy equipment operation, electrical systems, hydraulics, and welding is highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse machinery including farm equipment, construction machinery, and industrial systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety across operations. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, tractors, and construction machinery. Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, electrical diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, and other diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs on transmissions, diesel engines, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical systems. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding and hand tools. Service and repair OEM equipment and farm machinery to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications. Conduct alignment procedures and perform tire service on various vehicles and equipment. Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used. Operate heavy equipment for testing or troubleshooting when necessary. Assist in the installation of new machinery or upgrades to existing systems. Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Requirements Proven experience as a mechanic with a focus on heavy equipment maintenance or automotive repair; dealership experience is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge across construction equipment, farm machinery, HVAC systems, electrical systems, and diesel engines. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, schematics, and diagnostic software. Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently. Experience working with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and other construction machinery. Knowledge of transmissions, diesel engine diagnostics & repair, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, and alignment procedures. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate various types of industrial machinery when required. Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with strong customer service orientation for client-facing roles. Relevant certifications or training in electrical diagnostics or HVAC systems are advantageous but not mandatory.
