Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to work in an ag and construction dealership/repair shop. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This role requires self direction, technical knowledge, and the ability to maintain a safe and productive work environment. Shop will provide all specialty tools. Duties Troubleshoot and repair all types of equipment. John Deere, Bobcat, Kubota, Cat, Case, New Holland, JLG, and others. Equipment onboarded and repaired include Skid Steers, Tractors, Telehandlers, Excavators, Aerial Lifts, Balers, Swathers and more. Conduct field service calls using a service truck Change pickup, semi, and heavy equipment tires and tracks Fix leaks, reseal hydraulic cylinders, repair hydraulic hoses Do basic fabrication and welding to repair breaks and cracks R + R Bearings, bushings, shafts, and other wear parts Replace alternators, AC compressors, injectors, fuel pumps, and other engine components Work on primarily diesel motors and some gas/LP motors Qualifications Experience as a technician or mechanic at a heavy equipment repair dealership. Deere, Cat, or CNH dealership experience preferred. Strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to use or learn high level diagnostic tools and programs such as Cat ET. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
