Shop Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Shop Assistant/Equipment Technician to join our team and work with NEW trucks. The primary function of this role is decking, which involves mounting one truck on top of another (piggybacked) for transportation to the customer. This is a full-time position with stable weekly pay.

Responsibilities:

Decking:

Mount new semi tractors on top of each other for transport.

Mechanical Tasks:

Perform assembly tasks with a strong mechanical aptitude.

Troubleshooting:

Identify and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.

Safety Maintenance:

Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Detail Orientation:

Ensure precision and attention to detail in all tasks.

Weather Conditions:

Ability to work outside in all types of weather.

Fast-Paced Environment:

Qualifications:

License:

Valid driver's license with the ability to commute daily.

Knowledge:

Familiarity with tractor-trailers and their components.

Physical Ability:

Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 80 lbs) as required.

Mechanical Inclination:

Must be able to work with tools and possess extensive mechanical skills, including troubleshooting and repair abilities.
