ENTRY / MID-LEVEL
skilled MECHANIC, specializing in Horse Trailers and Farm Equipment to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of agricultural machinery and specialized trailers. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting the productivity of our farm operations and transportation needs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence in SAFETY and equipment care. Duties Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on horse trailers and farm machinery using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct equipment operation including Mowers, Tractors and Trailers to facilitate repairs and testing procedures. Repair and maintain mechanical systems such as Engines, Transmissions, Hydraulics, Suspension, brakes, shocks & struts, and brake systems. Fabricate parts or modify existing components using welding, cutting tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair needs. Utilize automotive electrical system repair skills to troubleshoot wiring issues, sensors, and electronic controls on various vehicle systems. Perform tire service, brakes and suspension adjustments to ensure optimal vehicle / trailer handling and safety standards. Maintain detailed service records, complete maintenance logs, and follow safety protocols during all repair activities. Requirements Recent
COMMUNTY COLLEGE
Automotive Certification is preferred.
EXCELLENT
Communication Skills are required. Knowledge of horses and the Equestrian Community is a HUGE plus for this applicant. Some experience working as a mechanic and automotive diagnostics is essential. Small engine experience is a plus. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and metalworking; ability to read schematics accurately is a plus. Familiarity with diesel mechanics, engine repair (including diesel engines), power tools usage, and equipment maintenance. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members or clients when needed.
