The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment, trucks, and construction machinery used in paving, grading, and site development operations. Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine issues on heavy equipment. Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service on equipment and fleet vehicles.
Repair and maintain:
Excavators Bulldozers Motor Graders Skid Steers Rollers Asphalt Pavers Dump Trucks Lowboys and Trailers Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems. Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed. Maintain accurate service and repair records. Conduct equipment inspections and identify potential issues before failures occur. Respond to field service calls and emergency repairs when necessary. Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company standards. Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic preferred. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostic equipment. Experience working on CAT, John Deere, Komatsu, Volvo, Case, or similar equipment. Ability to read and interpret service manuals and schematics. Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions.
