This is a full-time, on-site position in

What You'll Do:
Inspects, repairs, and maintains trucks, trailers, and related equipment.

Works with other technicians and cross-trains as necessary to keep trucks and trailers in continuous operation.

Observes and listens to defective equipment to determine cause of trouble or nature and extent of equipment damage. Uses discretion in repairing or replacing worn or damaged parts as necessary; reports major problems to supervisor and repairs, overhauls, or replaces parts as directed.

Inspects trucks, equipment, and machinery to diagnose defects and verify repairs.

Mixes, utilizes, dispenses, and/or properly disposes of volatile compounds including fuels, lubricants, and solvents; reads and is knowledgeable of Material Safety Data Sheets for any such materials and knows proper handling/disposal requirements for substances requiring specialized handling/disposal.

Keeps work area clean by sweeping, discarding used material properly and storing tools and supplies.

May be required to operate small vehicles on and off company premises.
What We're Looking For:
Required Education, Experience and/or AbilitiesA high school diploma or equivalent education with zero to two (0-2) years of mechanical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

Ability to provide own tools.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Possession of a valid drivers license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Preferred Education, Experience and/or AbilitiesAbility to meet physical requirements established by the Department of Transportation (DOT), including DOT drug/alcohol testing.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications English language fluency, verbal and written.

Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check and drug/alcohol test.
