What You'll Do:
Perform routine and preventive maintenance/repair on all electric, diesel, and gasoline powered trucks and equipment. Work with shop welder and tire hand to cross-train as necessary to keep trucks and trailers in continuous operation. Keep records of parts and supplies used on equipment and reports to foreman; notify foreman when parts, supplies, and equipment are needed. Observe and listen to defective equipment to determine cause of trouble or nature and extent of equipment damage. Uses discretion in repairing or replacing worn or damaged parts as necessary; reports major problems to supervisor and repairs, overhauls, or replaces parts as directed. Inspect trucks, equipment, and machinery to diagnose defects and verify repairs. Mix, utilize, dispense, and/or properly dispose of volatile compounds including fuels, lubricants, and solvents; reads and is knowledgeable of Material Safety Data Sheets for any such materials and knows proper handling/disposal requirements for substances requiring specialized handling/disposal. Keep work area clean by sweeping and discarding used material properly and storing tools and supplies.
What We're Looking For:
Required Education, Experience and/or Abilities Two (2) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered. Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Ability to provide own tools. Welding and fabricating experience required. Additional Eligibility Qualifications Acceptable results of a DOT physical. Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age, or older. English language fluency, verbal and written.
