Job Description
Public Works Mechanic - Clinton Township/Hunterdon County Seeking a full-time mechanic to perform skilled mechanical work involving the maintenance, repair and servicing of all types of gas and diesel motor vehicles as well as construction equipment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following tasks: Repair and maintenance of gasoline and diesel engine components, diagnose mechanical problems using computer diagnostic equipment, clean, repair/replace worn and/or defective parts. Applicant will also be required to assist with snow removal and various other tasks as may needed at times. This position requires a valid driver's license and CDL, Class A preferred. The Township will assist successful applicant with CDL as may be necessary. Salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 plus generous benefit and pension package offered. Successful candidate must undergo background check, drug test, and pre-employment physical. Must be a NJ resident. Interested applicants should forward their resume by September 21, 2026.
