The candidate should have experience in diesel trucks, backhoes, excavators, dump trucks, etc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all equipment. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and safely, contributing to the overall productivity of our operations. Starting salary is $40 per hour contingent on experience. Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical issues in heavy equipment and machinery. Answer road calls Travel to job sites for repairs Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of heavy equipment. Utilize schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems and components. Conduct heavy lifting as necessary to facilitate repairs and maintenance tasks. Weld and fabricate parts as needed to ensure proper functionality of equipment. Operate cranes and other machinery during repair processes. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and service history. Collaborate with service technicians to transmit information regarding equipment performance and repair needs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment. Skills Proficient in automotive repair techniques specific to heavy machinery. Strong understanding of electrical systems related to heavy equipment. Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes. Experience in welding a plus. Capability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively. Familiarity with operating heavy equipment during repairs. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
