La Mesa, NM Job Details 20 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Position Scope/Summary The Shop Mechanic consistently undertakes diverse and intricate tasks, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the full range of job requirements. Regularly employing adaptive techniques and utilizing a variety of tools, materials, and equipment to address specialized needs is a standard practice. Additionally, there is potential for assuming a leadership role as a lead mechanic, responsible for overseeing and executing extensive assignments. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Employees are expected to support the quality concepts inherent in the business philosophies of Stahmanns Inc, including a variety of job-related tasks, which include the following. The mechanic records details of repairs made, and parts used. Mechanics after repair, test equipment, and adjust as necessary. Mechanics maintain and repairs farm equipment and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, heavy equipment and irrigation systems. Mechanic tests and replaces electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools. Mechanic repairs or replace defective parts, using hand tools, power tools, or welding equipment. Mechanics lubricate and top off all fluids on equipment such as fuel, hydraulic oil, motor oil and clean air filters. Mechanic drives trucks with tools for on-site repair. Mechanics fabricate or modify parts for repairs. Mechanic trains Mechanic 1 and 2 in specific repair and maintenance. Other duties may be assigned.
