Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy construction ( mining, surface/underground) and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep the fleets that we provide service for operational, minimize downtime, and support our ongoing projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics passionate about machinery, diagnostics, and hands-on repair work in a fast-paced environment. Duties Perform comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, forklifts, and other construction machinery using schematics and electrical testing tools. Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, brakes, air systems, and electrical components to identify root causes efficiently. Conduct repairs including engine overhauls, diesel engine diagnostics, brake repairs, welding, fabrication, and assembly of various equipment parts. Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed on our software (service reports) using manuals and schematics. Execute preventive maintenance tasks such as tire service, lubrication, alignment checks, HVAC servicing, and equipment troubleshooting to extend machinery lifespan. Utilize power tools and hand tools skillfully for disassembly, repair, and reassembly of complex machinery components. Support equipment operation when necessary by assisting with heavy lifting or on-site troubleshooting to ensure minimal project delays. Skills Proven experience with heavy equipment servicing is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across construction machinery maintenance, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and automotive repair. Expertise in electrical diagnostics including electrical systems troubleshooting and schematics interpretation. Proficiency in diesel engine diagnostics and repair as well as air brake systems and transmission repairs. Skilled in welding, fabrication techniques, soldering, and the use of power tools for custom repairs or modifications. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including excavators, forklifts, tractor-trailers and other large machinery. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues efficiently. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately while following safety protocols at all times. Strong customer service mindset with the ability to communicate clearly with team members and clients about repair needs or maintenance schedules. Pay:

$37.00 - $46.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 60.0 per week
