Job Description
Overview We are seeking a an experience Heavy Equipment & Truck Welder to perform welding, fabrication, repair and maintenance on heavy construction equipment, commercial trucks, trailers and related machinery. This position requires strong welding skills, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and the ability to safely work with large equipment in a shop and/or field environment. Responsibilities/Duties Perform welding on Heavy Equipment, trucks and trailers Repair & fabricate equipment components, brackets, frames, buckets, attachments, beds/tailgates and other heavy duty parts Perform structural and preventative repairs on construction equipment and heavy trucks Inspect equipment and identify damaged, cracked, worn or broken components needing repair Cut, fit, grind, bend and fabricate steel and other metals to specifications Perform field welding and emergency repairs at jobsites when required Properly document completed repairs and communicate additional repair needs to minimize equipment down time Perform other light mechanical maintenance duties as assigned Qualifications Extensive construction site experience with knowledge of construction processes and safety standards. 3+ years of professional welding experience preferred Experince welding heavy equipment, heavy truck and construction equipment preferred Competence with hand tools and power tools necessary for metalworking tasks including power drills, grinders, saws, and welding equipment. Valid Drivers License Required Ability to work independently and efficiently Welding Certifications a Plus OSHA Certified Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions Ability to lift and move heavy materials and tools Competitive pay based on welding experience, heavy equipment experience, certifications and demonstrated skill level.
