This position includes both shop and field-service work and requires strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical experience, and a commitment to safe, high-quality repairs. Primary Responsibilities Diagnose hydraulic, mechanical, and basic electrical problems. Repair and rebuild hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, control valves, and related components. Remove and install hydraulic hoses, fittings, seals, and assemblies. Troubleshoot hydraulic leaks, pressure issues, overheating, and performance problems. Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections on forklifts and industrial equipment. Read hydraulic schematics, equipment manuals, and parts diagrams. Use pressure gauges, diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and shop equipment safely. Complete service reports and document labor, parts, and recommended repairs. Maintain an organized service vehicle and work area. Communicate professionally with customers and provide clear updates regarding repairs. Follow all company, customer-site, and OSHA safety requirements. Qualifications Two or more years of hydraulic, heavy-equipment, forklift, automotive, or industrial maintenance experience preferred. Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and mechanical troubleshooting. Ability to identify problems accurately and complete repairs efficiently. Basic electrical diagnostic experience is preferred. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. Must provide basic hand tools. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attendance, dependability, and attention to detail. Ability to communicate clearly with customers, coworkers, and management. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Ability to kneel, bend, climb, and work in confined or elevated areas. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely operate service equipment, forklifts, and shop machinery. Schedule Full-time, Monday through Friday. Overtime and occasional after-hours service may be required.
