Responsibilities Diagnose and repair a broad range of heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, bulldozers, forklifts, tractors, and other construction machinery using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and diagnostic tools. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, brake repairs, hydraulic system servicing, suspension adjustments, and transmission overhauls to ensure optimal equipment performance. Conduct electrical diagnostics on systems such as wiring harnesses, electrical systems, HVAC units, sensors, and control modules to identify faults accurately. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other specialized equipment to execute repairs efficiently and safely. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues involving hydraulics, air brakes, alignments, steering systems, and diesel engine diagnostics. Fabricate parts or modify components as needed for custom repairs or enhancements using welding and fabrication techniques. Maintain detailed service records and documentation of all repairs performed in compliance with safety standards and company policies. Assist in heavy lifting operations using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Skills Proven experience working with heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and construction machinery maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in diesel engine repair, transmissions, electrical systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, and brake repair. Familiarity with OEM schematics and automotive diagnostics tools for accurate troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and metalworking. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely in both field environments and shop settings. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service orientation to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, power lifts, tire service equipment, HVAC systems, soldering tools, and diagnostic software.
