Job Summary:

We are seeking a Class C Heavy Truck/ Equipment Technician to join our team. As a Mechanic Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced mechanic to assist in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about mechanics and wants to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting.

Duties:

• Assist mechanics in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, and filter replacements
• Assist with the disassembly and reassembly of vehicle components
• Clean and organize work areas to ensure a safe and efficient workspace
• Help maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
• Must do some minor torching and welding

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in an automotive or mechanical environment preferred
• Basic knowledge of vehicle systems and components
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
• Your own basic hand tools are required
