We are seeking a motivated Junior Heavy Equipment Mechanic / Apprentice to assist primarily with preventative maintenance and daily upkeep of our construction equipment fleet. This full-time role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in heavy equipment mechanics through hands-on experience. The selected candidate will work alongside our current experienced mechanic , gaining real-world exposure to diagnostics, repairs, and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance, including: o Oil changes and fluid checks (engine oil, hydraulic fluid, coolant, etc.) o Greasing and lubrication of all moving components o Replacing filters (fuel, air, hydraulic) o Checking tire pressure and track conditions Conduct daily equipment inspections to identify wear and tear, leaks, or safety issues Assist in repairing heavy equipment under supervision , including: o Excavators o Bulldozers o Backhoes o Loaders o Skid steers o Graders Assist with minor repairs and basic troubleshooting Maintain maintenance logs and report issues to senior staff Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

What We're Looking For:

1-5 years of experience OR trade/technical school background Strong interest in heavy equipment and mechanical work Ability to identify basic issues such as leaks, worn parts, and abnormal wear Welding experience is a plus Reliable, hard-working, and safety-focused Clean, valid driver's license required Willingness to learn and grow within the company How to
