In this role, you will responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing , and maintaining forklifts and other expertise material handling equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical, electrical , hydraulic, and fuel system issues while performing preventive maintenance. The schedule is
M- F, 7AM - 4
30PM. The pay is commensurate with the experience.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and engine-related issues on forklifts and material handling equipment. Perform schedule preventive maintenance according to manufacturer's recommendations. Inspect equipment for safety, performance, and compliance with company standards. Troubleshoot and repair propane, diesel, gasoline, and electrical -powered forklifts Replace or repair components including breaks, steering systems, transmissions, motors, batteries, chargers, and hydraulic systems. Maintain detailed maintenance records and service logs for all equipment serviced or repaired. Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and suplies. Follow all OSHA, safety, and environmental regulations. Communicate repair needs and equipment status to supervisors.
Skills:
Proven experience working as a heavy equipment mechanic or service technician with dealership or industrial backgrounds. Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery maintenance, diesel engine diagnostics, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical diagnostics. Skilled in using schematics for troubleshooting electrical systems and understanding complex mechanical drawings. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools essential for equipment repair. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during tire service or component replacement tasks. Experience with forklift repair and maintenance as well as general automotive repair skills related to farm machinery or construction equipment. Team player
Qualifications:
HS or GED valid driver license Ability to work independently and as part of a team Forklift manufacturer certifications (Toyota, Hyster, Crown, Raymond, Yale, Caterpillar, etc) preffered
