Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Forklift Mechanic to join our Maintenance team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background with hands on experience in the repair and maintenance of forklifts and other mobile equipment, such as bobcats, back hoes, scissor lifts, genie boom lifts and other material handling and industrial equipment throughout the facility. This role requires a self motivated, dependable, and driven proactive approach to trouble-shooting, problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial forklifts and other material-handling equipment. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment within the facility. Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventive measures. Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and fuel-system issues. Repair engines, transmissions, brakes, steering components, hydraulic systems, batteries, and other components. Assist with general maintenance and repair activities throughout the facility as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills 5 years experience in repairing and maintaining forklifts and similar industrial equipment Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills Strong commitment to safety and quality Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Comfortable in a manufacturing environment. Ability to lift and move equipment or parts that weigh up to 100 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in awkward positions for extended periods.
