Pay:

$27.00 - $32.13 per hour Job description: About the Role Are you a skilled mechanic looking for a role where you can work independently and manage a diverse fleet? Yardmaster is seeking a Mechanic to join our team. You will be the primary person responsible for ensuring our vehicles, heavy equipment, and small engines are safe, maintained, and ready for the field. If you have a "self-starter" mentality and at least 1 year of experience across Lawnmowers, weed eaters and heavy machinery, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do Preventative Maintenance:

Perform routine care including oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotations for all company vehicles and landscape equipment.

Repairs:

Diagnose and repair worn parts (brakes, bearings, sensors) as well as 2-cycle engines and heavy machinery to manufacturer specifications.

Shop Management:

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.

Vendor Coordination:

Assign work to outside vendors when shop capacity is exceeded to ensure production stays on schedule.

Safety Oversight:

Ensure all equipment is operated safely and within guidelines.

Requirements Experience:

At least 1 years of mechanic experience (preventative maintenance, 2-cycle, and heavy equipment).

License:

Valid driver's license and insurability are required.

Skills:

Ability to operate a truck and trailer.

Physical Ability:

Must be able to push, pull, lift, or move up to 50 lbs unassisted and work outdoors in all elements.

Stamina:

Ability to sit, stand, and bend continuously for 8 hours. Knowledge & Competencies Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision in a rapidly changing environment. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and landscape equipment.

Position Details Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (overtime as necessary).
