Job Description
Experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic — Aerial & Material Handling Dayton, Ohio | Full-Time Experienced Technicians Only — Own Tools Required We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our growing team in Dayton, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned technician who takes pride in quality work, problem-solving, and keeping equipment operating at peak performance. If you have strong experience working on diesel-powered heavy equipment and aerial or material-handling machines, we want to speak with you. What You'll Work On Boom lifts (telescopic & articulating) Scissor lifts Telehandlers Forklifts Other diesel-powered construction and industrial equipment Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service Troubleshoot diesel engines and related systems Diagnose hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders, and controls Conduct inspections and identify wear or safety issues Complete repairs efficiently to minimize equipment downtime Maintain accurate service documentation Work independently with minimal supervision Required Qualifications Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic Strong knowledge of diesel engines Advanced understanding of hydraulic systems Experience working on aerial lifts or material-handling equipment preferred Must provide your own tools Ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues independently Valid driver's license Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work indoors/outdoors Ideal Candidate You are dependable, self-motivated, and take ownership of your work. You don't need constant direction and can confidently troubleshoot equipment from start to finish. Compensation Pay based on experience and skill level Overtime opportunities may be available Stable, full-time position Opportunity to work on a wide variety of equipment Schedule Full-Time |
