Heavy Equipment Technician Responsible for repairs and maintenance on large construction equipment.

Pay:

$32 - $45 an hour. The typical DAY shift is Monday-Friday (Saturdays as needed) 7am-3:30pm

Duties and Responsibilities:

Diagnosis and repair transmissions, engines, differentials, electrical and hydraulic components associated with heavy construction equipment in a field environment. Utilize a laptop computer for information and diagnostic purposes for the safe assembly and disassembly of components. Write and complete service reports. Participate in company training programs. Perform other duties as assigned. This position is focusing on Heavy equipment, this will also include trucks, trailers and small construction equipment as needed.

Education and Experience:

Two-year technical degree in diesel technology, heavy equipment mechanics, or similar preferred. 5+ years' experience preferred

Skills and Abilities:

Use hand tools, air tools, test equipment, powered shop tools, and overhead crane. Operation of a variety of types of equipment Diagnosis and repair of diesel engines Maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of equipment electrical systems Diagnose and repair aftertreatment systems Hydraulic troubleshooting Use of hydraulic and electrical schematics Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy equipment.
