Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, and repair construction and landscape equipment, including mowers, trenchers, loaders, and trucks Perform routine preventive maintenance, lubrication, and adjustments to reduce downtime and extend equipment life Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and small engine issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals Maintain accurate service records, parts usage, and inspection documentation in accordance with company standards Prioritize and respond to service requests from field crews to keep projects on schedule Ensure all repairs and shop practices follow safety protocols and OSHA guidelines Assist with equipment setup, calibration, and modification for specific landscape and construction projects Coordinate with supervisors to schedule maintenance around production needs and equipment availability Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and yard work area Support training of operators on basic equipment care, inspection, and safe operation Required Skills Equipment diagnostics Hydraulic systems repair Small engine repair Electrical systems troubleshooting Preventive maintenance planning Diesel engine service Use of diagnostic tools and software Welding and basic fabrication Reading technical manuals and schematics Safety and OSHA compliance Service documentation and recordkeeping
